Readkin is a private sharing tool: a person chooses an article and asks us to translate it so a family member or friend can read it in their own language. This page explains how we handle third-party content and how rights holders can reach us.

How Readkin handles third-party content

• User-directed: Readkin never selects, aggregates, or publishes articles on its own. A reading page exists only because a user submitted a link, and it is delivered only to the recipients that user chose.
• Private by design: reading pages live at hard-to-guess links, carry a noindex directive so search engines do not index them, and are never listed in any public directory or feed.
• Attribution: every page names the source site, links to the original article, and identifies itself as an AI translation for personal reading.
• Licenses respected: when a source declares a machine-readable license, we honor it. Permissively licensed articles are labeled with their license; articles whose license forbids adaptations are limited to a short excerpt that links to the original.
• No paywall circumvention: Readkin does not bypass subscriptions or sign-in walls.

All rights in the underlying articles remain with their publishers and authors. Readkin claims no ownership of source content or of translations derived from it.

Removal requests

If you are a rights holder (or their authorized agent) and want a translation taken down, email readkinapp@gmail.com with:

• the Readkin link or links (readkin.com/t/…),
• the original article URL,
• your name and your relationship to the rights holder.

We act promptly on valid requests: we remove the pages and block the domain, so future submissions from your site produce only a short excerpt with a link to the original. If you prefer that we not process your site at all, tell us and we will block it entirely.

Repeat problems

Users who repeatedly submit content over a rights holder's objection lose access to Readkin.
