Privacy Policy

Readkin translates articles that you choose to share and creates reading links for you and your recipients. This policy explains the information we handle to provide that service.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name if provided, language preference, plan, and sign-in credentials.
• Recipient information: names, optional email addresses, language preferences, delivery choices, and delivery or read status that you add for people you share with.
• Article information: source URLs, submitted article content, translated text, reading links, and translation status.
• Device and support information: an Apple Push Notification token when you enable notifications, and any message or contact information you submit through feedback or support.
• Security information: limited request and rate-limit data, such as an IP-derived security key, used to prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
• Email delivery information: limited provider delivery status records, such as when an email was accepted, delivered, delayed, or failed. These records do not include the email message or a readable recipient address.

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate you, translate and deliver articles, maintain your share history and recipient list, send requested email or push notifications, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and operate Readkin. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Service providers

Readkin uses Cloudflare to host the service, store application data, protect requests, and run article translations; Resend to deliver sign-in and recipient emails; and Apple Push Notification service to deliver optional notifications. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Readkin.

Sharing links and recipients

A Readkin reading page can be opened by anyone who has its hard-to-guess link. People you share with may retain the link or an email containing it. Do not submit confidential material or recipient details unless you are authorized to share them.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and article information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Provider email delivery status records are kept for operational troubleshooting for no more than 90 days. You can permanently delete your Readkin account from Settings → Delete Account in the iOS app. This removes your account, credentials, recipient records, device tokens, share history, stored translated pages, and associated operational records, including linked email delivery records. Removing an individual recipient also removes delivery records linked to that recipient. Messages or links already received by other people cannot be recalled from their devices or inboxes.

Your choices

You can decline push notifications in iOS Settings, remove individual recipients in Readkin, sign out at any time, or delete your account in the app. For a copy or correction of your information, contact us.
